Mohs Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and review health survey data to develop care plans
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families
• Prepare surgical areas by organizing instruments, equipment, and anesthesia
• Assist surgeons during procedures by scrubbing in and maintaining a sterile field
• Administer anesthesia under direct physician supervision
• Document patient care and Mohs procedure notes in EMR systems
• Maintain sterile environments and operate surgical equipment including autoclaves
• Monitor patient safety during procedures and recovery
• Assist patients with mobility following surgery

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office
• Expertise in surgical instruments and sterile technique
• Ability to travel between multiple locations
• Availability to start at 6AM

• Experience in dermatology
