Modular Data Center Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface between specialized engineering teams (Electrical, Thermal, Mechanical) to ensure designs converge into a unified MDC architecture
• Collaborate with Energy Development and Construction teams to define and validate site-level interface requirements, including UPS/Transformers and CDU/Secondary Loops
• Partner with Field Operations and Commissioning teams to translate design intent into field reality during modular deployments
• Support the transition from air-cooled to direct liquid-cooled (DLC) systems by coordinating CDU and coolant distribution integration
• Coordinate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (LOD 400) for manufacturing partners
• Facilitate feedback loops between manufacturing and design teams to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in data centers, industrial systems, or complex modular infrastructure
• Proven ability to manage technical dependencies across multiple disciplines
• Strong familiarity with power (UPS/transformer tie-ins) and high-density cooling systems (CDUs)
• Experience with construction and manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with liquid cooling transitions
• Knowledge of UL, CE, and NEC standards for modular equipment
