Model Validation Consultant

Responsibilities

• Execute all stages of the model validation process, including documentary review, replicability, performance testing, and finding follow-ups.
• Ensure model risk management complies with local regulatory requirements (Banxico, CNBV) and Canadian standards (OSFI).
• Document and update technical reports, manuals, and validation results, integrating findings and effective challenges.
• Perform research and development tasks during technical evaluations within the validation process.
• Manage and maintain the Model Inventory for Scotiabank Inverlat.
• Address audit requirements related to Model Risk Management.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proficiency in conversational and business English (indispensable).
• Strong technical skills in Python, Power BI, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to propose and develop analytical tools for risk and business management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in market risk management, financial trading operations, or treasury.
• Experience following up on internal or external audits.
