Model Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete geometry changes to the Wind Tunnel Model ensuring parts and assemblies are fitted accurately
• Safely operate and maintain a Wind Tunnel Model at our Wind Tunnel facility in Cologne, Germany
• Ensure Wind Tunnel project parts/assemblies are manufactured to a high standard and to the required deadlines
• Build large mechanical assemblies for the Wind Tunnel model and identify technical challenges and support in diagnosing/solving problems
• Work with the Model Design Engineers to improve the efficiency of model changes and the quality of model parts
• Support management with Health and Safety requirements

Requirements

• Current experience of Wind Tunnel model part preparation and Wind Tunnel testing
• Experience in model-making in a high-level motorsport environment or equivalent
• Good knowledge of mechanical installations and assemblies with high accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to Silverstone, UK and work flexible hours during race season
