Model Based Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage full system-level requirements to ensure the built system meets all intended objectives
• Create system and subsystem requirements, defining system bounds, capabilities, and functional features
• Convert customer needs into actionable system requirements and devise operational objectives
• Manage validation and verification of requirements at both the system and subsystem levels
• Use Cameo to build, maintain, and analyze functional and logical architecture derived from user journeys
• Ensure full traceability of system artifacts across user journeys, features, requirements, and test cases
• Partner daily with developers to provide technical guidance and ensure design alignment

Requirements

• 2+ years of systems engineering experience involving functional decomposition, allocation, analysis, and verification
• 2+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and techniques
• Extensive experience working with SysML and Cameo within the automotive, defense, or aerospace industries
• Experience testing real-world systems using sensors and production-level hardware and compute
• Experience with requirements validation and verification for subsystems and integrated system-level components

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role
• Experience spanning both initial requirements definition and final system validation
• Multidisciplinary experience in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
