Mobile Safety Associate (Driver)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate passenger vehicles to transport staff, equipment, and supplies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain records
• Navigate urban and residential environments and identify safe parking locations
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts or disruptive behavior
• Monitor vehicle interior and exterior for safety hazards or suspicious activity
• Respond to medical or safety emergencies and contact emergency services when required
• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing supplies and cooling resources
• Support daily setup and breakdown of mobile cooling services

Requirements

• Valid passenger class driver’s license with a clean driving record
• At least one year of experience operating vans or passenger vehicles
• 1+ year of experience in safety, security, transportation, or customer service
• 1+ year of experience with de-escalation or conflict resolution
• Proficiency with mobile phones and GPS navigation systems
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must reside within commuting distance of the NYC/NJ area
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
• Experience serving older adults or vulnerable populations
• Training in de-escalation, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care
• First Aid / CPR certification
• Experience driving in dense urban environments
