Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative care and diagnostic services, including phlebotomy and specimen collection, directly to patients in their homes.
• Manage daily schedules and commute to various patient locations using modern mobile technology.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks such as diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, and ECGs.
• Ensure all collected samples are properly labeled and coordinated for drop-off to labs or shipment facilities.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and patient confidentiality during all home visits.
• Prepare all necessary supplies and PPE required for the day's scheduled appointments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in venipuncture and specimen collection.
• State required licensure and/or national certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to use a personal vehicle to travel to patient homes.
• Ability to physically navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to pass a national background check and DMV check.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements (including COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, and TB testing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working autonomously in a mobile or home-health setting.
• Proficiency with mobile devices for digital charting and HIPAA-secure messaging.
• A strong interest in learning advanced clinical skills like digital stethoscope recording and diabetic retina imaging.
