Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile phlebotomy and diagnostic services directly to patients' homes in Manhattan.
• Perform a variety of low-acuity care tasks including specimen collection, ECGs, diabetic foot screenings, and retina exams.
• Navigate efficiently through NYC using public transit (subways and buses) to manage a daily schedule of approximately 8 appointments.
• Ensure all medical samples are properly labeled and coordinated for drop-off to labs or shipment facilities.
• Utilize mobile technology for real-time charting, scheduling, and HIPAA-secure care coordination.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, compassion, and patient confidentiality while working independently.

Requirements

• State required licensure or national certification for phlebotomy/medical assisting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience in venipuncture and specimen collection.
• High proficiency in navigating the NYC public transit system, specifically key subway lines.
• Ability to physically navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Technologically savvy with comfort using mobile devices for clinical documentation.
• Strong time management and route-planning skills.
• Compliance with required vaccination and immunization standards.
