Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile diagnostic and preventative care services, including phlebotomy, specimen collection, and vitals checks, directly to patients in their homes.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks such as diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, and ECGs.
• Manage sample collection by ensuring proper labeling and coordinating drop-offs to labs or shipment facilities.
• Utilize mobile technology and HIPAA-secure messaging apps for scheduling, charting, and care coordination.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, compassion, and patient confidentiality while working autonomously.

Requirements

• State required licensure or national certification relevant to the role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience in venipuncture.
• Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to use your own vehicle to travel to patient homes.
• Ability to physically navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 10 pounds.
• Vaccination compliance (including COVID + booster, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TDaP, and annual Influenza).
• Ability to pass a national background check and DMV check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital stethoscopes or capturing diabetic retina images.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of technological literacy.
