Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative care and diagnostic services, including phlebotomy and specimen collection, directly to patients in their homes.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks such as diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, and ECGs.
• Manage sample collection by ensuring proper labeling and coordinating drop-offs to labs or shipment facilities.
• Utilize mobile technology for efficient scheduling, charting, and HIPAA-secure care coordination.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, compassion, and patient confidentiality during all home visits.

Requirements

• Proven experience in venipuncture and specimen collection.
• State-required licensure and/or national certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs.
• Ability to carry up to 20 pounds while walking.
• Ability to pass a national background check and DMV check.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements (including COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, and TB testing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working autonomously in a mobile or home-health setting.
• Strong technological proficiency with mobile devices and healthcare apps.
• A desire to learn advanced clinical skills such as digital stethoscope recording and diabetic retina imaging.
