About the role
Responsibilities
- Travel to various towns and community locations on a set schedule to provide Fuel Assistance (FAP) and Electric Assistance (EAP) intake services.
- Conduct participant interviews and intake appointments in person or via telephone to verify eligibility.
- Process FAP and EAP applications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Explain available Community Action programs and eligibility requirements to participants.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local welfare offices and community partners.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of the food pantry at the Franklin Area Resource Center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency credential.
- One year of prior office or customer service experience.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher.
