About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site repairs, fleet maintenance, and roadside assistance for customer accounts
  • Diagnose malfunctions and interpret diagnostic test results to perform necessary repairs
  • Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment, including brake systems, steering, and engines
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning mechanical or electrical components
  • Communicate with service advisors, dispatchers, and parts departments regarding work needs
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure correct operation following repairs

Requirements

  • Four or more years of diesel technician experience
  • Technical or Trade School certificate
  • Valid DOT health card
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Certifications in Brakes, Drive Train, Diesel Engines, Electrical/Electronic Systems, HVAC, and Suspension/Steering preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL license
