About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site repairs, fleet maintenance, and roadside assistance for customer accounts
- Diagnose malfunctions and interpret diagnostic test results to perform necessary repairs
- Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment, including brake systems, steering, and engines
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
- Repair or replace malfunctioning mechanical or electrical components
- Communicate with service advisors, dispatchers, and parts departments regarding work needs
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure correct operation following repairs
Requirements
- Four or more years of diesel technician experience
- Technical or Trade School certificate
- Valid DOT health card
- Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for prolonged periods
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Certifications in Brakes, Drive Train, Diesel Engines, Electrical/Electronic Systems, HVAC, and Suspension/Steering preferred

- CDL license
