Mobile Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy industrial equipment including Front-End Loaders, clamp forks, and CAT track loaders to unload log trucks and feed logs into production and storage areas
• Inspect equipment for unsafe or improper operation and report issues to the appropriate contact
• Understand fiber mix targets and feed various fiber types into the process accordingly
• Perform daily checks and basic maintenance such as blowing, washing, and greasing to keep equipment in good working order
• Monitor and adjust wood yard control room parameters to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets
• Maintain proper paperwork and perform daily housekeeping to meet company standards

Requirements

• Internal company certification
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions
• Proficiency in mathematics and measurement
• Willing and able to climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces up to 50 feet
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including temperatures above 100°F and below 32°F
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, walk, climb, stoop, and stand as needed
• Able to wear safety equipment and adhere to strict safety rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous heavy industrial equipment experience, driving license, or certification
