Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, general, and periodic maintenance on engines such as excavators and forklifts
• Diagnose reported issues and determine their causes
• Carry out minor and major repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, braking, steering, and electrical circuits
• Complete work orders and inspection sheets detailing tasks performed
• Ensure proper use and functioning of company equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with health and safety policies

Requirements

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent
• Minimum of three years' experience as a construction mechanic
• Valid class 5 driver's license
• Possession of a complete toolbox (imperial and metric systems)
• Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions, and welding

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of mechanics and new technologies
• Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
