About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate "hands-on" crisis support through phone counseling and mobile in-person crisis intervention.
  • Perform rapid assessments, support hospitalization when necessary, and provide linkage to community resources.
  • Develop crisis prevention plans and write timely action plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Participate in assertive outreach to individuals identified as high users of crisis services.
  • Complete progress notes and required documentation for each individual served.
  • Engage with diverse populations while learning risk assessments and safety planning.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in a related field such as Psychology or Social Work.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration, inspection, and adequate insurance.
  • No driver's license suspensions in the last 48 months and no serious traffic convictions within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to pass FBI, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse clearances.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (available hours range from 7am - 10pm, 7 days a week).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work or internship experience related to mental health.
  • Ability to think critically and engage empathetically with individuals in crisis.
