Mobile Application Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile applications that provide cross-platform user experiences in coordination with PlayStation consoles and other platforms
• Handle development of social features such as party functions, involving real-time state changes and large-scale user bases
• Participate in the full development lifecycle including technical research, design, implementation, testing, and operational improvement
• Engage in technical decision-making such as architecture design and framework introduction
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and global teams (primarily in the US) to improve user experience

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Android development (Kotlin/Java), iOS development (Swift/Objective-C), or cross-platform development (React Native/Flutter)
• Business level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent)
• Willingness to communicate in English (text and meetings) with overseas teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing applications that integrate with backend APIs
• Experience with React Native, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Knowledge of UI design and state management
• Experience with Agile development processes
• Experience with C/C++ for native processing or performance optimization
