Mobile App Developer (Android)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Android applications for automotive Infotainment systems
• Design unit tests and fix bugs
• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements to maintenance
• Provide leadership for junior developers
• Investigate and prototype new concepts in the automotive space

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development using Java, Objective-C, C, or C++
• Deep knowledge of Android SDKs and design patterns
• Experience publishing Android apps in production environments
• Strong understanding of application architecture and object-oriented design
• Proficiency with source control, unit testing, and agile development
• Experience developing products in a UNIX environment
• Experience working with REST and JSON
• Experience with functional programming using RxJava
• Bachelor's degree in Automotive/Embedded Software, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Unity 3D Engine experience
• Experience with embedded systems or automotive technology
• Proven record of innovation through patents, papers, or products
