About the role
Responsibilities
- Adhere to strict safety standards and enforce consistent data collection procedures
- Safely guide the car captain in urban, rural, and unfamiliar environments
- Mount, configure, operate, and monitor mobile mapping system, 360° panoramic camera, GPS equipment, and related hardware
- Download, organize, and post-process raw sensor data including point clouds, imagery, and GPS
- Record and maintain daily operations logs and prepare activity/incident reports
- Perform quality control on system data streams and provide feedback to the processing center
- Troubleshoot mobile mapping system issues and coordinate fixes with technical staff or vendors
- Assist in the removal, repair, and installation of the mobile mapping system on vehicles
- Comply with vehicle maintenance schedules
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or similar discipline preferred
- Background in field data collection, surveying, or mapping operations preferred
- Experience using GIS software or online mapping applications for navigation and route planning
- Familiarity with geospatial data, GPS hardware, and related software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD
- Fluency in Arabic; English is preferred
- Valid driving license
