ML/AI/CS Intern

About the Company

Oligo is building a manufacturing-in-the-loop foundation model to automate spacecraft design and production worldwide. Leveraging cutting edge AI-driven generative design and automated manufacturing, our ex-MIT, Harvard, and NASA JPL team works to create the most advanced payload-specific spacecraft at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and fine-tune LLMs/VLMs to parse technical documents into subsystem constraints and architectures
• Develop models to detect contradictions or gaps in requirements and suggest valid configurations
• Design and train reinforcement learning agents to explore multi-variable design spaces
• Develop CNN-based topology optimizers to reduce mass in structural components
• Interface with CAD kernels and FEA/simulation frameworks
• Construct multi-agent AI systems that iteratively redesign spacecraft configurations
• Integrate models into Zenith’s pipelines to ensure outputs flow into design and manufacturing agents
• Help build multimodal training datasets from real spacecraft programs

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, ML/AI, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience with ML/AI through research, projects, or internships
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
• Interest in vision-language models, reinforcement learning, simulation-aware ML, or geometry optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to structured engineering artifacts like ICDs, CAD trees, or verification matrices
• Familiarity with spacecraft concepts, astrodynamics, or control systems
• Background in MBSE or architecture design tools
• Ability to prototype or debug hardware/software systems
