ML Perception Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Train, modify, and create beyond-SOTA algorithms for constructing powerful world representations for perception and ML-driven autonomy
• Test and evaluate algorithms on real vehicles, owning large portions of the autonomy stack to ensure improvements in driving abilities
• Collaborate with data, behavior, and research teams to develop advanced autonomy software for production deployment
• Drive the design and development of computer vision and machine learning techniques to enable self-driving navigation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building software components or systems addressing real-world perception challenges
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
• Experience building machine learning models from data collection through to production and deployment
• Deep understanding of the concepts and methods behind the frameworks and libraries used

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in perception or a closely related field
• Experience working in modern ML-based perception for autonomous systems
• Deep knowledge of current computer vision trends, including reconstruction, diffusion, world models, and pre-training vision models
