ML Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, implementation, reliability, and evolution of Maven's machine learning infrastructure
• Build backend services and platforms for managing data, artifacts, jobs, logs, metadata, and compute resources
• Design scalable systems for workload orchestration, storage, observability, security, and infrastructure automation
• Build intuitive internal tools and abstractions for engineering workflows
• Lead technical and commercial discussions with cloud and ML compute providers regarding capacity, performance, and cost

Requirements

• Significant experience designing, building, and operating production backend, distributed, or compute infrastructure
• Proven track record of owning complex infrastructure projects from architecture to deployment
• Strong programming ability in Python, Go, Rust, C++, or similar systems languages
• Experience operating GPU compute infrastructure and orchestrating workloads using Kubernetes, Ray, or ZenML
• Experience designing storage systems, observability platforms, and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience managing large-scale GPU fleets or hybrid cloud/on-premise environments
• Experience building internal developer platforms, CLIs, or SDKs

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GPU architecture and accelerator-aware software design
• Exposure to infrastructure supporting large-scale robot learning, simulation, or multimodal data pipelines
• Familiarity with SOC 2 controls and security audit readiness
