Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Eagle acquires and transforms civil, structural, and MEP engineering firms with applied AI, providing engineers with the tools needed to solve complex infrastructure, energy, and climate problems.

Responsibilities

• Embed with staff at engineering firms to learn how engineers interact with drawing sets
• Own the end-to-end drawing-parsing pipeline, including ingestion, layout analysis, symbol detection, and OCR
• Design embedding strategies for drawings using vision and multimodal encoders
• Integrate extracted structure and embeddings into the company knowledge store
• Build evaluation harnesses, ground-truth sets, and accuracy metrics for production data
• Collaborate directly with the CTO on technical direction and product strategy

Requirements

• Deep experience in computer vision and Vision Language Models (VLM)
• Expertise in document, diagram, or drawing analysis (detection, segmentation, layout analysis, OCR)
• Strong understanding of embeddings and representation learning
• Proven ability to ship engineering solutions to production
• Rigorous approach to model evaluation and data quality
• Strong communication skills to build trust with non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel and perform hands-on tasks like data labeling or heuristic tuning
