About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate mix room pasteurizer and chocolate equipment according to recipes and work orders
- Monitor production processes, take samples for lab testing, and perform quality checks
- Set machine controls and use computer systems to pump ingredients and formulate batches
- Ensure all safety devices, including E-Stops and machine guards, are operational and tested
- Document production runs, ingredient lot numbers, and batch sheets in databases like SAP or Globe
- Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) cycles and maintain a clean, organized work area following GMP standards
- Communicate effectively during shift hand-offs to resolve production issues and concerns
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Aptitude for automated mechanical processes
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in math and interpersonal communication
- Ability to work multiple shifts and varying schedules
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, wet, or cold environment
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related manufacturing or food production experience
