Mitigation Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage from fire, water, mold, and weather-related events
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation services per IICRC standards
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials safely and efficiently
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected interior spaces
• Document job progress through photos and detailed notes using PSA and other required software
• Communicate professionally with clients, answering questions with empathy and respect
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
• Set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment properly
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols, including daily documentation of consumables and equipment use
• Collaborate with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members

Requirements

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in varying environments
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Acceptable driving record and reliable attendance
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams and complete onsite documentation using a smartphone and industry software
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• WRT (Water Damage Restoration) certification
• Prior experience in restoration, construction, or related field
• Experience with PSA or similar job management platforms
