Responsibilities

• Operate track tamping and grading machines on the ÖBB network
• Perform maintenance and repairs of track machines on-site or in the workshop
• Support and execute track surveying work for tamping operations
• Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and railway laws
• Participate in training for operating switch and track tamping machines

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship in a metal-related profession
• Technical knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and combustion engines
• German language proficiency (minimum B1 level) for radio communication (GSM-R)
• Valid driving license (Class B)
• Flexibility and willingness to travel, including weekend and shift work
• Medical and psychological fitness for railway work

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in railway construction or heavy machinery operation
• Knowledge of surveying techniques
