Mission Systems Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed system and subsystem test requirements for avionics and communications systems
• Perform hands-on testing and integration of navigation and communication systems including GPS, SATCOM, and HF ALE radio
• Utilize specialized test equipment such as Avionics Integration Stations and Satellite Simulators
• Analyze system performance data and validate system functionality and safety
• Investigate and resolve incident reports and defects to determine root causes
• Develop and execute test procedures for aircraft avionics systems
• Provide customer support for aircrew procedures trainers and flight testing

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in hardware/software testing for military or commercial avionics
• Experience with avionics navigation and communication systems
• Working knowledge of COMSEC protocols and secure communications equipment
• Proficiency in developing test procedures for analog, digital, and RF electronics
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Systems Technology, or a related field
• Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N helicopters
• Familiarity with Mil-Std 1553 Bus and SATCOM DAMA/DASA
• Experience supporting flight testing and NATOPS conferences
• Master's degree in a related engineering field
