Mission Systems Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Support software development on agile teams tasked with integrating and implementing solutions onto mission platforms
• Develop high-fidelity simulation and environment software and toolsets to enable rapid development and testing
• Use analytical problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues for the company and suppliers
• Apply engineering principles to deliver improved weapon system capabilities and conduct technical analysis
• Document engineering practices to support replication, scaling, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate across program stakeholders including Operational Analysis, Mission Systems Hardware, and Flight Simulation teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, or Python
• 3+ years of experience working with various software development methodologies
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
• Experience developing embedded real-time software or working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Experience developing models, simulations, or Operational Flight Program (OFP) software
• Experience with Agile software development and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD)
• Experience with open architecture constructs (OMS, OCS, UCI) or Model Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo)
• Proficiency with configuration management and collaboration tools such as Git, JIRA, or Collaborator
