Mission System Software Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering activities across multi-disciplinary teams supporting the C5i mission systems product line
• Lead the strategy, execution, and delivery of software scope using DevSecOps and Agile methodologies
• Ensure cost and schedule compliance for on-time delivery to meet mission and contractual obligations
• Identify risks and opportunities early, defining and executing mitigation and capture plans
• Partner with chief engineers and technical leads to provide cost-effective technical solutions
• Establish effective communication, mentoring, and growth opportunities for team members
• Support software proposals and program proposal efforts, including EAC development
• Assist in the management of sub-contractors delivering capabilities to the MSS teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps/Automation environments
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing project or program cost, schedule, and risk
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), Risk & Opportunity, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Experience presenting technical and program issues to senior stakeholders
• Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle
• Experience with domestic and international defense programs (DCS and FMS)
• Earned Value Management System Certification
