Mission Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver software solutions deployed to customers to meet mission objectives
• Develop software that enhances products for specific operational needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality
• Create and leverage performance metrics for debugging and monitoring deployed systems
• Identify root causes of system issues and coordinate resolutions
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into technical features
• Engage in real-world deployment of autonomous systems

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• 3+ years of experience with C++, Python, or Rust in a Linux environment
• Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis
• Ability to navigate and understand complex systems and codebases quickly
• United States citizenship and eligibility for US Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world scenarios
• Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS or MOOS-IvP
• Experience with flight systems, safety-critical software, or hardware integration
• Understanding of distributed communication networks and messaging standards
• Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics
