Mission Payload Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage payload integration across the full satellite lifecycle from proposal to on-orbit commissioning
• Serve as the primary technical customer interface for payload integration and design reviews
• Develop and negotiate payload interface control documentation (mechanical, electrical, software, power)
• Create and execute payload interface verification and validation plans
• Coordinate cross-functional integration efforts with vehicle engineering, avionics, software, and propulsion teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience in the aerospace or space industry
• 2+ years of technical project management or systems engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with developing, integrating, and testing aerospace systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, software, and power interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in the aerospace or space industry
• Direct experience working with Commercial customers
• Hands-on spacecraft integration and environmental testing experience
