About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work with mission engineers to design, create, test, and execute satellite operations procedures, including commissioning and nominal operations.
  • Investigate anomalies and collaborate with mission operations and engineering teams to resolve them safely.
  • Participate in commanding activities for the company's first five operational spacecraft.
  • Develop tools and processes to help the Mission Operations team maintain high service uptime.
  • Automate manual processes using scripting and software tools.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in engineering, physics, or a computer science related major.
  • Experience in scripting with Python.
  • Basic understanding of satellite systems.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties without supervision.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing telemetry analysis and anomaly investigations.
  • Experience building operational software tools and user-friendly UIs.
  • Experience with software development tools such as Git.
