About the Company

Antares is building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications. The team is composed of experts from SpaceX, MIT, and various national laboratories, focused on making clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery for customer-facing programs, owning cost, schedule, quality, and contractual compliance.
  • Establish closed-loop requirements management connecting customer feedback to engineering design.
  • Propose new development programs to DoD and DOE sponsors and support contract acquisition.
  • Perform market/use-case analysis and CONOPS research to develop technical roadmaps.
  • Lead system architecture and interface specifications for strategic energy applications.
  • Manage project costs, schedules, and deliverables while translating user feedback into requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, nuclear, systems, etc.), physics, or applied science.
  • 3+ years of experience in complex, safety-critical, or defense/aerospace programs.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering and agile best practices.
  • Strong foundations in thermodynamics, energy systems, and engineering economics.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer and mission-relevant locations.
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary for critical milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in an engineering field.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Git and CI/CD.
  • Experience in transportation logistics.
  • Experience with government sponsors (DoD, DOE, NASA, USAF/USSF).
  • PMP or relevant project management certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
