Mining Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and budgeted accounts
• Apply engineering principles to mining operations including soil/rock mechanics, hydraulics, and ventilation
• Oversee technical aspects of mining such as steel design, conveyors, and electricity

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, or Mechanical)
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of engineering principles (soil/rock mechanics, hydraulics, ventilation, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• Understanding of continuous and longwall mining methods
