Mining Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee production south operations at an open-cut coal mine
• Manage and lead a team of Mining Supervisors to meet operational production standards
• Support Mining Superintendents and Operations Manager with mining activities and planning
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources to achieve set targets and schedules
• Build and maintain a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks and hazard awareness
• Continuously improve safety and operational objectives

Requirements

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in a large open-cut mining environment
• Experience with Truck, Shovel, and Excavator operations
• Working knowledge of relevant Coal Mining legislation
• Supervisor & Risk Facilitator competencies (S1, 2, 3 & G2)
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and computer literacy skills

Preferred Qualifications

• OCE ticket (Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining)
• Trainer & Assessor certification
