Mineral Inspection Assistant

Responsibilities

• Guarantee the physical process of sampling and sample preparation
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of information regarding truck dispatch, receipt, and scale weight control
• Request necessary consumables for operations
• Comply with technical, operational, and quality standards and procedures
• Maintain and properly handle all assigned equipment
• Adhere to SGS Colombia and client safety regulations and use personal protective equipment
• Report non-conformities, complaints, or integrity breaches to supervisors immediately
• Participate in corrective/preventive actions and internal/external audits
• Ensure sample integrity through proper collection, recording, and transport coordination
• Perform coal sampling in yards and special sampling in generation plants
• Pack and identify samples for laboratory shipment
• Assist in loading and moving coal bags and performing laboratory analysis as needed
• Maintain the daily coal yard logbook

Requirements

• High school diploma (Bachiller)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in coal sampling
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Availability to work according to operational needs
