Mine Geologist - Underground

Responsibilities

• Perform underground grade control activities, including lithological and structural mapping, sampling, and ore/waste delineation.
• Complete stope reconciliation reports and provide accurate geological data for modeling and presentations.
• Manage geological data entry, including dispatches, assay results, and QA/QC validation.
• Supervise underground technicians and sampling operations, ensuring correct sampling protocols are maintained.
• Undertake timely and accurate logging of grade control drill core.
• Liaise with Engineering and production personnel to ensure geology functions align with mining department objectives.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly planning with relevant contractors and business partners.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Geology (minimum B Sc.).
• Full and current driver's licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles.
• Strong technical geology skills, including mapping and interpretation.
• Knowledge of sampling theory and QA/QC data analysis.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and PC skills.
• Minimum 1 year of post-graduate experience is preferred.
