Mine Front Line Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned crews of equipment operators (up to 30 personnel)
• Assist in the hiring, training, and development of craft personnel
• Establish daily job assignments, authorize time off, and complete performance assessments
• Maintain open communication with field engineers, maintenance, safety, and quality teams
• Prepare work plans and assist in determining manpower, material, and equipment requirements
• Inspect field conditions, troubleshoot problems, and implement cost-saving measures
• Monitor job safety and provide necessary training and awareness for all personnel
• Ensure technical specifications and quality standards are consistently met
• Monitor job schedules and coordinate work with contractors and suppliers

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience (e.g., Shift Superintendent, General Foreman)
• Background in surface mining (Coal or Metal/Non-Metal) or heavy civil construction
• Familiarity with MSHA operations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
• Willingness to relocate to various job sites across North America
• Ability to travel on short notice
