Mine Front Line Supervisor - Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned crews of maintenance technicians, including mechanics, welders, and electricians.
• Assist in the hiring, training, and development of craft personnel to maintain the heavy equipment fleet.
• Establish daily job assignments, authorize time off, and conduct performance assessments.
• Develop and maintain open communication with field engineers, maintenance, safety, and quality departments.
• Prepare work plans and assist in scheduling manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Inspect shop and field conditions to troubleshoot problems and implement cost-saving measures.
• Monitor job safety and provide necessary training and awareness for all personnel.
• Ensure technical specifications and quality standards are consistently met.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Front Line Supervisor (e.g., Maintenance Shift Superintendent or General Foreman) in mining or heavy civil construction.
• Familiarity with MSHA operations.
• Strong technical background in maintaining and repairing surface mining and heavy civil equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends.
• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice and relocate to various job sites.
