About the role
Responsibilities
- Move, install, dismantle, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment
- Perform maintenance on mechanical systems including conveyors, gear drives, and material handling equipment
- Install and maintain piping systems for air, oil, steam, and coolant lines
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Repair components such as belts, pulleys, air cylinders, solenoids, regulators, and filters
- Reassemble and align machinery and component parts after repair or relocation
- Fabricate and install guards, fixtures, and basic shop components
- Perform minor welding and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely
- Complete safety and maintenance documentation, including OSHA-related reports
Requirements
- Proof of Journeyman Millwright status required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks in industrial conditions
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operation experience or ability to obtain certification
- Basic welding skills
