Millwright Technician

Responsibilities

• Move, install, dismantle, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment
• Perform maintenance on mechanical systems including conveyors, gear drives, and material handling equipment
• Install and maintain piping systems for air, oil, steam, and coolant lines
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Repair components such as belts, pulleys, air cylinders, solenoids, regulators, and filters
• Reassemble and align machinery and component parts after repair or relocation
• Fabricate and install guards, fixtures, and basic shop components
• Perform minor welding and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely
• Complete safety and maintenance documentation, including OSHA-related reports

Requirements

• Proof of Journeyman Millwright status required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks in industrial conditions
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience or ability to obtain certification
• Basic welding skills
