Milling Department Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the operational activities of the milling department.
• Perform setup of CNC machining centers, including program insertion and on-machine modifications.
• Supervise the loading/unloading of parts and the operation of CNC and rework machines.
• Provide technical support to the Technical Office and R&D through basic CNC programming to improve processes.
• Conduct dimensional quality control of components using measuring tools such as calipers, comparators, and OGP.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure planning, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Supervise subsequent processes including polishing and vibratory finishing.
• Manage and promptly report anomalies, machine downtime, and non-conformities.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or professional qualification in the mechanical field or a related area.
• Proven experience in CNC milling, preferably within the fashion accessories or small metal parts industries.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines and precision measuring tools.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc language preferred).
• Basic knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
