Milking Parlor Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on milking systems, pumps, cooling systems, and vacuum lines
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in milking equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and malfunctions during milking operations
• Ensure the milking parlor is maintained to high cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and train staff on proper equipment usage

Requirements

• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably within a dairy or agricultural environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of milking machinery, dairy operations, and sanitation standards
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
• Relevant certifications in agricultural machinery maintenance are a plus
