Military-Affiliated Student Services Specialist

Responsibilities

• Administer programs and services tailored to the unique needs of military-affiliated students.
• Supervise graduate assistants and co-supervise student office assistants, including hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Provide career mentoring and goal-setting sessions for student employees to foster transferable skills.
• Coordinate and execute events at the Military-Affiliated Student Center (MASC) to foster community engagement.
• Serve as the webmaster and content manager for the MASC website.
• Manage the MASC email account and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
• Participate in the development and assessment of departmental co-curricular initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Veterans and/or military-affiliated populations.
• Experience in student affairs within higher education.
• Experience supervising students or staff.
• Experience advising students or student organizations.
• Experience with community outreach or program promotion.
• Master’s degree.
