Milieu operator

Responsibilities

• Manage waste streams by collecting and sorting various materials in designated zones, including chemical lockers and oil storage.
• Handle containers for sludge, wastewater, and extrusion waste.
• Perform manual and forklift-assisted stacking of cardboard and wooden pallets.
• Maintain site cleanliness by cleaning roads, parking lots, recycling zones, and walkways.
• Execute indoor cleaning tasks, including wet cleaning within buildings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as dusting installations and checking/replenishing spill kits and first aid kits.
• Support facility management by maintaining production halls and cafeterias (e.g., coffee machines and vending machines).
• Participate in team meetings and propose improvements regarding safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Technical secondary education diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Valid forklift certificate and experience with safe internal transport.
• Fluency in Dutch is required; French or English is a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong awareness of safety and environmental standards.
