About the role
Responsibilities
- Orient residents and guests to Munras and the MIIS community, policies, and community expectations
- Foster an inclusive and respectful community environment
- Communicate, uphold, and enforce all MIIS and Residential Life policies
- Respond to student concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations
- Document and report incidents in a timely and professional manner
- Serve as the on-call staff member during assigned evening and weekend hours
- Conduct pre-move-in room inspections and community rounds
- Assist with administrative tasks and summer projects in preparation for the academic year
Requirements
- Currently enrolled MIIS graduate student with a graduation date of December 2026 or after
- In good academic and disciplinary standing
- Eligible to work on campus
- Available to work 12–20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Available for the entire summer employment period (May 25 - August 14, 2026)
- Ability to live in assigned on-campus room in Munras Housing
- Ability to attend and complete mandatory RA training
- Strong communication and sound judgment skills
- Ability to respond calmly to emergencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with student populations
