MIIS Summer Resident Assistant

Responsibilities

• Orient residents and guests to Munras and the MIIS community, policies, and community expectations
• Foster an inclusive and respectful community environment
• Communicate, uphold, and enforce all MIIS and Residential Life policies
• Respond to student concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations
• Document and report incidents in a timely and professional manner
• Serve as the on-call staff member during assigned evening and weekend hours
• Conduct pre-move-in room inspections and community rounds
• Assist with administrative tasks and summer projects in preparation for the academic year

Requirements

• Currently enrolled MIIS graduate student with a graduation date of December 2026 or after
• In good academic and disciplinary standing
• Eligible to work on campus
• Available to work 12–20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
• Available for the entire summer employment period (May 25 - August 14, 2026)
• Ability to live in assigned on-campus room in Munras Housing
• Ability to attend and complete mandatory RA training
• Strong communication and sound judgment skills
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with student populations
