Migration & Modernization Engineer Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure and application migration projects to AWS (lift-and-shift, re-platform, re-architecture)
• Conduct technical discovery and assessment of legacy environments to identify risks and optimization opportunities
• Design cloud-native architectures using microservices, containers (EKS), serverless functions (Lambda), and managed databases
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Perform AWS Well-Architected Reviews and implement security, performance, and cost recommendations
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, data, and business teams to align with client roadmaps
• Document architectures, technical decisions, runbooks, and rollback plans
• Act as a technical reference for junior and mid-level team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud and migration
• Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, Migration Hub, DMS, and MGN
• Proficiency in IaC with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience with containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Python and/or Java for development and automation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
• Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
• Experience with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program)
