Midwife

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of expectant mothers, identifying potential risks or complications and developing appropriate care plans
• Provide expert guidance and support to patients during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery
• Monitor the progress of labor using specialized equipment and techniques
• Administer necessary medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform emergency interventions, such as neonatal resuscitation, when required
• Educate and counsel patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Requirements

• Valid midwifery license or certification as required by local regulations
• Minimum 1 year of experience in maternal and newborn care
• Strong knowledge of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
• Proficiency in handling normal deliveries and recognizing obstetric emergencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
