Middleware Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support GoAnywhere MFT workflows, secure file transfers, and partner onboarding
• Operate and maintain AWS MSK (Kafka) clusters, including brokers, topics, and replication policies
• Manage IBM MQ environments, focusing on Queue Managers, clustering, and performance tuning
• Oversee AWS ElastiCache (Redis/Memcached) scaling, failover, and optimization
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness through failover tests and runbooks
• Coordinate with InfoSec and Networking teams to implement secure network paths and TLS/mTLS standards
• Support compliance requirements through audit logging, access reviews, and change control

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in middleware, integration, or platform engineering roles
• Hands-on administration experience with at least two of the following: Kafka (AWS MSK), GoAnywhere MFT, AWS ElastiCache, or IBM MQ
• Strong understanding of messaging concepts such as pub-sub, delivery semantics, and dead-letter handling
• 3-5 years of experience with Linux administration and networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, firewalls)
• Working knowledge of AWS core services including VPC, IAM, EC2, and CloudWatch
• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Experience with production support, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise in IBM MQ clustering or Kafka consumer lag tuning
• Advanced GoAnywhere MFT workflow automation and PGP integration
• Experience implementing disaster recovery strategies and performing resiliency testing
• AWS Certified SysOps/DevOps or IBM MQ certifications
