Middleware Infrastructure Automation Developer - Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support automation solutions for Middleware and Web Application platforms
• Build and maintain Python and UNIX shell scripts for BAU automation, health checks, monitoring, and remediation
• Enable self-service automation for application and operations teams using APIs and workflow-based solutions
• Automate platform and infrastructure operations, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrades
• Support incident, problem, and change management through automation-first approaches
• Work closely with Middleware, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to standardize operational processes
• Maintain automation code in version control following secure and scalable development practices
• Identify opportunities to improve platform resilience, performance, and operational efficiency

Requirements

• 6+ years of IT experience in Platform Engineering Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Strong experience with UNIX / Linux shell scripting
• Solid understanding of platform or infrastructure operations (Middleware & Linux fundamentals)
• Experience building operational automation for production environments
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating automation with enterprise tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Middleware technologies (WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, Kafka, MQ, etc.)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, or workflow orchestration tools
• Experience or interest in AI-assisted automation, LLMs, or intelligent workflows
• Integration experience with ServiceNow and CyberArk
• Exposure to observability tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
• Cloud platform exposure (Azure or AWS)
