Middle School Science Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach an interdisciplinary, NGSS-aligned curriculum covering topics like Earth's systems, matter, energy, and molecular systems
• Develop student practices in questioning, modeling, data analysis, and conducting interactive labs
• Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with instructional coaches to differentiate instruction
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families to support learning needs
• Participate in professional development, mentorship, and school-wide community meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
• Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities
• Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTEL) to meet MA state requirements
• Commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
