About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach an interdisciplinary, NGSS-aligned curriculum covering topics like Earth's systems, matter, energy, and molecular systems
- Develop student practices in questioning, modeling, data analysis, and conducting interactive labs
- Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with instructional coaches to differentiate instruction
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families to support learning needs
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, and school-wide community meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities
- Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTEL) to meet MA state requirements
- Commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
