Middle School Science Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach NGSS-aligned science instruction for three sections of Grade 6 and one section of Grade 8
• Design and facilitate inquiry-based, hands-on, and project-based learning experiences
• Develop student skills in scientific inquiry, experimental design, research, and data analysis
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance student engagement
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction and feedback
• Serve as a student advisor to support academic, social, and emotional development
• Collaborate with K–12 science faculty to align curriculum across grade levels
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school community events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, STEAM, or a related field
• 1–5 years of classroom teaching experience preferred, specifically at the middle school level
• Expertise in inquiry-based and hands-on laboratory learning
• Deep understanding of early adolescent development
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and multicultural learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
